MMAREA: an awareness-raising campaign that tells the extraordinary emotional journey of people with multiple myeloma through the illustrated story of a fisherman who lives with the fluctuations of the sea.

Realised in collaboration with haematology experts and patient associations, MMAREA becomes a concrete support tool, offering these people food for thought and information to help them face the challenges of multiple myeloma.

MMAREA is divided into 5 illustrated chapters representing 5 relevant topics of pathology: diagnosis, the treatment pathway, relapse, remission and awareness. In each, the narrative explores feelings and events that patients may experience on their journey, recounting fear, fatigue, bewilderment, but also strength, courage and the resilience they always find. Just like our fisherman. Every day.

MMAREA is not only an illustrated narrative, but also a limited edition podcast. Consisting of 5 episodes, corresponding to the 5 chapters of MMAREA, it follows the story of our fisherman told by the unmistakable voice of Luca Zingaretti.
