Press conference to present the Alè Europe project

Twelve stories of sport and success make up the “Alé Europe” series, winner of the European call for proposals for the enhancement of European cohesion policies. The new series, featuring award-winning champions, was presented today at the Rome headquarters of “Comin & Partners” in the presence of, among many others, Monica Contrafatto and Manuel Pasqual.

Produced by Red Carpet, an ILBE Group company, the series is the first ever sports project belonging to the entertainment sector to win the European “Call for proposal – Support for information measures relating to the EU Choesion Policy”.

“Alè Europe” is an original and unprecedented format: 12 are the stars on the flag of the European Union, 12 are the stories focused on men and women protagonists of Italian sports, with a focus also on the Paralympic world. The narrative aims to be truly inclusive and democratic, as the values of our continent teach.

Throughout the 12 episodes, stories of victories, falls and rebirths of champions of the Italian sports scene are told. In parallel, we will see the story of successful projects made possible by European Union initiatives. Once again, sport becomes the tool to tell about other worlds.

Among the protagonists of the series are Martina Carraro and Fabio Scozzoli (multi-titled swimmers and couple in life), Daniele Cassioli, (the greatest Paralympic water skiing champion of all time), Monica Contrafatto (Paralympic bronze medalist in the 100 meters in Tokyo and military), Marco Di Costanzo (Olympic bronze medal rower), Giorgio Minisini (world champion in artistic swimming), Michela Moioli (Olympic champion snowboarder), Vincenzo Nibali (one of the strongest cycling champions ever), Antonella Palmisano (reigning Olympic champion in the 20 km. of march), Manuel Pasqual (glorious former captain of Fiorentina soccer team), Letizia Paternoster (world champion track cyclist), Enza Petrilli (Paralympic silver medalist archer) and Gaia Sabbatini (talented Italian middle-distance champion).

The project was developed with financial support from the European Union.

Also speaking at the conference was Antonio Parenti, director of the
Representation in Italy of the European Commission.

The series will be available for free streaming on the CHILI platform starting in April 2023.
